About Me

My name is Hanah. I was born and raised in Minnesota. I am an only child and come from a small family. I was raised Catholic and even attended a Catholic elementry school. My family and I moved to Mesa, Arizona when I was about 12 years old. As a teen, I felt lost. I went through many rough times and didn't always do what was right. When I was about 16 years old I had a close friend that was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She introduced me to the Church and started bringing me to Young Women activities. For the first time, I felt I was where I was supposed to be. Soon after, I began talking missionary disscusions. Every time I met with the missionaries I began to know more and more and knew that this was the true Church of God. I will always remember the first time the missionaries took me to see the Mesa, Arizona Temple at night. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. Standing next to the water looking up at the Temple I had felt the Spirit so strongly I cried. For I had known it was the true Church and I was doing what was right. I want to take a second to add this quote that fits so well with what I was just saying about seeing the Temple at night..

"The temple itself becomes a symbol. If you have seen one of the temples at night, fully lighted, you know what an impressive sight that can be. The house of the Lord, bathed in light, standing out in the darkness, becomes symbolic of the power and the inspiration of the gospel of Jesus Christ standing as a beacon in a world that sinks ever further into spiritual darkness."

Later on when I turned 18 I sadly had strayed away from the Church. I was the only member in my family and had lost contact with the friends I used to know that were members and quickly found myself alone and not going to church. I ended up hanging out with the wrong people, partying, and getting tattoos. I found myself lost again. Then, when I was almost 19 I met a guy named Andrew. We talked, became friends, and started hanging out. I felt so comfortable with him. Later on after talking we discovered that we were both Mormon but had both not been to church in quite some time. After that we knew we were meant for each other. Being together and supporting each other is what helped us both get back to church. When I was 19 and he was 21 we got married in Redlands, California (Andrew's home town).

We got a cute little apartment in Mesa, Arizona and began our married life together and started going back to Church. We felt at home again. We knew we were at the true Church of God and it felt good to be back. Later on we had our first child, a sweet boy named Wyatt. He was such a blessing to us. When Wyatt was 2 we were sealed as a family in the Temple. That was truly the greatest day of my life. Knowing that I will be with my family forever and will one day return to my Heavenly Father is the most comforting feeling in the world.

Now, later on down the road we are blessed to have two amazing little boys, Wyatt and Porter and live in a beautiful house. I am a stay at home mommy and love every minute of it and am so grateful to have a husband that works so hard for his family. I enjoy dancing, country music, home decor, cratfs, baking, spending time with my boys, and trying to spread the Gospel to others.
